WEST BANK – Israeli settlers in the West Bank are on rampage, maiming and setting villages alight following the discovery of the body of an Israeli settler found dead several hours after he was declared missing.
The settler, Binyamin Achimair (in picture above), a shepherd was declared missing after his flock of sheep returned from the field without him.
The Israeli settlers backed by security forces embarked on raids of homes of Palestinians, attacking them.
Violence has flared up in the village of Duma southern of Nablus, with the homes of Palestinians and their vehicles in flames.
There is also confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces near Deir Dibwan village, east of Ramallah. At least one Palestinian has been killed with several injured.
According to reports, the young Palestinian man, Jihad Afif Abu Alia, was shot dead during raid in the town of Al-Mughair, Ramallah district by Israeli settlers protected by IOF.
Reacting to the development, Hamas condemned escalation of frenzied attacks carried out by settler militias, on Palestinian villages and towns in the West Bank, describing it as barbaric, stressing that the attacks on citizens, their lands, homes and property are carried out under the direct supervision of the fascist settler regime, and with full protection from the occupation army.
” These are described war crimes committed by the Zionist enemy, by releasing herds of settlers to wreak havoc on the Palestinian land, in the context of its plan to seize the lands of the West Bank and expel and displace its people from it”, Hamas said.
“These dangerous attacks, which target our people and their presence on their land, require the leadership of the Authority and the security services in the West Bank to be on alert, and to exercise their assigned role, to protect our people suffering under the weight of daily incursions and raids, killings and arrests, and the daily crimes of settlers.
“Every free and honorable member of our people hastened to deter these criminals from their aggression and barbarism.
“The Zionist enemy has practiced the most brutal forms of terrorism against our Palestinian people, through continuous massacres and a war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, and its crimes and violations have escalated in the West Bank, in a way that the world has not observed in the worst apartheid regimes, and this requires our Palestinian people in every way Place, unite behind the option of resisting this fascist occupation, and the international community must work hard to curb this rogue criminal behavior from all international systems and laws”, it said.
