LAGOS, Nigeria – After spending weeks in the hospital, undergoing surgery that has killed many even outside the shores of Nigeria, Nollywood icon, Amaechi Muonagor, rumoured to have died by a section of the press is hale and hearty.
The actor, who has been in the industry for decades even before the emergence of Nollywood has been discharged from the hospital and he is saying “Thank You”, to generous Nigerians who coughed out hard earned money into a consolidated purse to care for his medical bills while he was in the hospital.

Mounagor is now as fit as a fiddle, see him smile with his glasses in this video with his lovely daughter, Diji Chinonso, who never gave up hope when many even in Nollywood thought the battle is over.
She was calm and spent sleepless nights, not only taking care of his dad in the intensive care and assuring Nigerians that his dad is alive and responding to treatment even when unverified rumour could held many Nigerians willing to donate to have a change of mind.
“We are leaving the hospital, Watch daddy’s excitement. Tell everyone that needs to hear. “We came, saw, we conquered’. Am very grateful to God and to everyone that came through for me and my dad. May God continue to bless you.
“Those that made sure that the surgery was done, thank you so much. You all are amazing. Please help me say Thank You Jesus”, Chinonso wrote to announce the exit of his dad from the hospital.
Amaechi Mounagor was admitted into the hospital as a result of blood clothing that blocked arteries in his brain. He was operated on in the brain as the bandage shows, all done in Nigeria and he is back ready to hit set to do what he is known best for doing.
Surely, he has many more years ahead of him to bring smile to his fans and lovers of his movies and stage craft.
