ASABA, Nigeria – Celebrated actress and producer of Another Side of Life, Adanma Luke, on whose set Junior Pope and four others died has broken her silence for the first time since April 9, 2024 when the incident happened.
Adanma Luke, often very lively was totally downcast and for the first time she appeared on the social media without her usual makeup.
She spoke from the bottom of her heart, asking why she has to shoot in the village instead of Lagos, she asked why this incident had to take place on her set, more over, when those involved are those she regarded as her family working with her from one set to the other besides Junior Pope, whom she has never worked with.
She said the wife of Junior Pope was a very close friend adding that she has wondered why she wasn’t working with her husband.
Adanma Luke said, she told Junior Pope that she shoots love films while Junior Pope had specialty for action movies until she was assured by Junior Pope that he shoots all films being an artist.
Adanma Luke said it was the first time she was working with Junior Pope.
She said she didn’t speak since the incident because she has been busy giving money to the over 50 divers that were searching for the bodies and providing baskets for the job.
She equally provided ambulances to take the bodies to the villages for burial by families who made the request.
Adanma Luke who recently had a baby said she missed the illfated boat because she was called to attend to other matters.
