GAZA – The military wing of the Palestinian Liberation Movement, Hamas has released fresh conditions for the release of Israelis and foreign captives held in Gaza.
In a statement, Hamas representative in Lebanon, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hadi said the movement has elaborated on its vision this time regarding the prisoners’ issue, with the condition that there are guarantees.
“The matter is now in the court of the zionist entity and also in the American court.
“We have always expressed our concern for our people, but the enemy has been evasive and deceptive in the prisoners’ file without providing commitments”, Hamas said.
The movement, he said assured the mediators that if they want Hamas to be flexible, there must be international guarantees and a clear commitment to fulfilling 4 conditions must be presented.
“We stress a permanent cessation to the aggression, a complete withdrawal, the removal of the effects of the aggression, and the return of the displaced.
“These are conditions for reaching a deal”, Hamas said.
Hamas is of the view that everything the enemy has spread about the movement obstructing the negotiations is a lie adding that Hamas is clear in its demands.
“We cannot agree to any deal without international guarantees and a clear commitment to stop the aggression”, Hamas said.
