In our twenty minutes interview with the owner of Dosh Entertainment Empire, also known as “Doshlowkee Entertainment Limited” and “Doshlowkee Properties Limited”, we asked about the objectives of the CEO, what he thought of when he came up with the idea of establishing an entertainment company as well as an estate development company.
The CEO Mr. Sunday Stephen popularly referred to as Doshlowkee gave a glimpse of his investment portfolio and business ideas and ideals. Mr. Sunday Stephen, is the Chief – Executive – Officer (CEO) of the record label “Dosh Entertainment Empire” registered as “Doshlowkee Entertainment Limited” and a property mogul, operating his real estate company registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission as “Doshlowkee Properties Limited”.
The adage, “if an old woman falls down twice, one counts the things she’s carrying in her market basket”, may not be far from the truth particularly as it concerns the CEO of Doshlowkee Entertainment Limited in recent times.
The entertainment and property mogul recently announced his partnership with the owners of Simply Webtech Limited, and has indicated his intention to continually invest in other industries so as to expand his business portfolio and continue to contribute his quota to the Nigerian employment sector.
This business mogul informed us that his interest in the property market manifested when his company lawyer and secretary, who registered his entertainment industry introduced him to possibilities in the property market. This he informed, peeked his interest and through the same lawyer he registered his property company and since then he hasn’t regretted his decision.
Perhaps, the saying that “a fresh start isn’t a new place, it’s just a new mindset” is to be seen as the story of Mr. Sunday’s venture into the entertainment industry.
According to the mogul, “when I was about to register my property company, I had the mindset that this is a separate business, that my investments, profits and business interest in my entertainment business has nothing to do with the property company. First, I mapped out a strategic plan highlighting sources of funds, then proceeded to mapping out property choice areas in Lagos State.
It was after I saw the profits being generated in the property industry that I decided then to register a company in 2023 through Mr. Ademola Adefolaju Esq., who doubles as my company lawyer/secretary and my personal lawyer.
According to Mr. Sunday “the mission of the property company is to revolutionize the estate industry in Nigeria, by offering genuine property of value for to its customers”.
As far as entertainment investment interest is concerned, Mr. Sunday informed that “Dosh Entertainment Empire is an innovative and dynamic entertainment organization that has carved a niche for itself in the industry.
He further said that the organization is founded with a deep-seated passion for music, film, philanthropy and arts, with the primary objective to discover, nurture, and promote talents, thereby contributing significantly to the entertainment industry.
According to Mr. Sunday, at Dosh Entertainment, the belief is that entertainment is a powerful tool for fun time, education, inspiration and if effectively deployed can save lives and change the society, and their output is not only about fun, but more of entertainment, culturally relevant and impactful content to the general populace.
On his partnership with the owners of Simply Webtech Limited and his investment therein, Mr. Sunday simply stated thus; “it is an idea rooted in the trends in financial investment and profit making”, he further stated thus; “if you look at the world today, particularly the financial market, you will find that everything is driven by technology, so much that hardly would a business transaction go through without the input of technology, and in the nearest future, technology will dominate completely the financial business environment and investment, and even our day to day life and activities”.
He then explained that his interest in investing with Simply Webtech Limited is majorly as a result of this fact, adding that Simply Webtech Limited is operating with the object of Developing Web, Software, Blockchain and Mobile Applications, and these are the businesses that holds the future of the world”.
He concluded by saying “my objective is to contribute my quota, the best way I can to the Nigerian economy. The government alone can’t do it all, we must have our input as well, and that is how we can have a better Nigeria with financial stability without illegality being the order of the day”.
