LAGOS, Nigeria – The Federal Government has announced 24 hours closure of the Third Mainland Bridge, which has been under repair for months.
Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on New media, Mr. Jubril A Gawat quoted the Federal Ministry of Works on X as saying that both carriageways of the Third Mainland Bridge will be closed to traffic from noon on Wednesday to noon on Thursday.
He said the closure is to allow the contractor handling the repair work on the bridge to execute a major aspect of the ongoing repair works.
He was not specific on the nature of repair to warrant such a closure, the second in one month.
