TAFAWA BALEWA SQUARE – The Appeal Court sitting in Tafawa Balewa Square TBS, Lagos today upheld Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s victory in the governorship election, dismissing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Olajide Adediran’s appeal.

The three-man panel unanimously affirmed the prior decision of the Lagos State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.

The court ruled that the appellants failed to substantiate their allegations of forgery and non-qualification against Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.

In their verdict, the justices emphasized the lack of evidence presented by the PDP and Adeniran, stating that their petition was ultimately dismissed as they failed to prove their claims, leaving the court empty-handed.
