LAGOS, Nigeria – Past president of ICAN Ismaila Muhammadu Zakari, The CEO Of CFG Advisory Tilewa Adebajo, and Omawunmi Omobolanle, partner at Deloitte, will lead presentations at the fourth Audit Reporting Workshop for the media in Lagos on 25-26 October 2023.
Tilewa Adebajo is a renowned analyst and financial advisor. He will speak on “The Nexus Between State Budgets and Audit Reports”.
Omobolanle, partner (assurance) at Deloitte, will expound on Promoting Transparency in Governance Through Audit Reports” at the workshop organised by FrontFoot Media Initiative.
Zakari, a passionate advocate for accountability and best practices, will guide participants on “Interpreting Audit Reports”.
The Lagos workshop is at GulfView Suites and Conference Centre, Ikeja GRA. It follows three earlier workshops in Benin, Awka, and Abuja.
Eluem Emeka Izeze, managing director, said that the Audit Reporting Training is FrontFoot Media Initiative’s flagship capacity development programme.
It is a Collaborative Media Engagement for Development Inclusivity and Accountability Project under the auspices of the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism and the sponsorship of the MacArthur Foundation.
He stated: “Participants will learn how and where to locate the relevant reports, interpret the material, and write engaging news stories and features that will enlighten, stimulate and empower the electorate, and discourage impunity”.
