GAZA – Yasmin Porat, one of the 12 hostages held in Kabbutz by Hamas fighters has revealed that six of the hostages were killed by the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF in the exchange of fire to eliminate terrorists holding them hostage.
Yasmin Porat, who survived the exchange of fire made the revelation in an interview with Israeli radio. “They eliminated everyone, including the hostages”, Porat told his interviewer.
Yasmin Porat who spoke in Hebrew translated by several newspapers online said Hamas, which she called terrorists treated them humanely.
According to her, Hamas fighters did not touch her and that they gave her and others what to eat and drink.
They didn’t harm us. They treated us humanely”, she said adding that it when the IDF heard her shout for them to stop firing that they stopped.
She said IDF opened fire on the small house where they were being held with small guns, including tanks.
She said what the captors wanted was to take them to Gaza and use them as human shield.
She said while in custody of Hamas she was able to get in touch with policemen and soldiers via WhatsApp, who stormed place leading to their rescue.
Meanwhile, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades (the military wing of Hamas) has announced a strike at IDF’s Tze’elim military base and the Hatzerim airbase.
“Fighters of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades launched two kamikaze drones at occupants’ positions,” the group said on its Telegram channel.
“One drone hit the Hatzerim airbase, where the enemy’s 107th Squadron – also known as the Knights of the Orange Tail – is deployed; the other one attacked the headquarters of the Sinai Division, deployed at the Te’elim military base,” the statement says.
In addition, supporters of the group took responsibility for shelling of the city of Sderot in souther part of Israel.
The Saraya al-Quds group, the military wing of Hama’s ally, the Islamic Jihad group, announced another rocket strike at Be’er Sheva.
