AWKA, Nigeria – Paul University Awka, Anambra State is to graduate 385 first degree students at its 4th convocation ceremony billed to hold 6th October.
During the ceremony, the institution will give Honorary Doctorate Degrees to some individuals who have made meaningful contributions to the church and Nigeria. Paul University is owned by Anglican Communion across 55 dioceses in Nigeria.
Adjunct Vice-Chancellor Administration of Paul University, Awka, Prof Godwin Onu made this known in a press statement issued on Tuesday by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Sir Ikechukwu Abana.
According to the release, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Paul University, Ven Prof Obiora Nwosu on behalf of the senate and the Governing Council is inviting all to the epoch making event.
The statement further announced that the convocation lecturer is to be delivered by Hon Val Ozigbo, former Governorship candidate of PDP in Anambra State 2021 Governorship election.
According to the statement,the Primate of All Nigeria, Archbishop Metropolitan, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, His Grace, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba will be installed as the Chancellor of Paul University, Awka.
“Chancellor of the university, award honorary doctorate degrees and first degrees as well as Diploma to deserving graduands. The event is scheduled for 12 Noon.
At the convocation, 385 graduands will convocate, 4 Doctorate degree Awardees even as His Grace Late Most Reverend MSC Anikwenwa , retired Archbishop of Province on the Niger and Dean ,Church of Nigeria, will receive a Posthumous meritorious service award from Paul University Awka”
Paul University is owned by Anglican Communion across 55 dioceses and His Grace, The Most Reverend Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim PhD as the Archbishop of Province the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese is the host Archbishop” it stated
