IDF kills Hamas’ deputy head, Muhamad Qatmash

GAZA – The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF has killed Muhamad Qatmash, the Deputy Head of Hamas’ Artillery Array in the Gaza Strip.

He was killed by IDF fighter jets, the IDF said in a statement.

Muhamad Qatmash is believed to be responsible for artillery operations in Hamas’ Central Brigade in the Gaza Strip.

“He played a significant role in the planning and execution of fire directed at Israel from the Gaza Strip in previous rounds of fighting”, the statement said.

The IDF has continued to strike Hamas terror targets in the Gaza Strip since this morning, including the commander of a rocket-launching cell and a number of other terror operatives.

In addition, a weapons manufacturing site and a Hamas military command center were struck.
