IKOYI, Lagos – A Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos has struck out the firearms charge against suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Justice Nicholas Oweibo struck of the suit challenging the suspended governor of the apex bank for want of diligent prosecution.
The judge said the plaintiff has shown sufficient evidence of disobedience to court order and that in the circumstance the court is left with no option but to strike out the suit since the plaintiff will not prosecute the matter.
Earlier, Justice Oweibo referred to arguments averred by parties for and against the decision by the Federal Government to withdraw the firearms charge against the suspended boss of the apex bank.
