KANO, Nigeria – The Kano State Government has cleared the way for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC to commence prosecution of the former governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje for accepting US Dollars bribe from contractors hired by the state government to halt probe into execution of the contracts.
The Kano State Government gave the clearance via letter by Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice to Sanusi Musa SAN, tendered at the Federal High Court in Kano State.

Daily Nigeria has in 2021 published a viral video where in then governor Abdullahi Ganduje was was seen physically amasing US dollars from contractors hired for public works in Kano State.
