KIEV – The President  Vladymyr Zelensky has raised concern about the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant just as armed forces of the Democratic Republic of Russia and that of Ukraine continued their confrontation on the battlefront overnight with Russia hitting targets in  Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Sumy and Kharkov regions with explosions heard as far as Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.

This continued just as the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit Donetsk and Makeyevka damaging 9health facilities in Russia with at least 46 people injured, three of them being children and three civilians. Ukraine also continued shelling of Belgorod and Kursk regions.

There are however reports that an attempt by the AFU to break through at the Kamensk section of the Zaporozhye front was resisted and stopped. Fighting also continued in the Southern Donetsk direction and at the Antonovsky Bridge in the Kherson direction.

Speaking on the situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, President Vladmymry Zelensky said Ukraine has information from our intelligence that the Russian troops have placed objects resembling explosives on the roof of several power units of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

According to him, the tendency is perhaps to simulate an attack on the plant. “But in any case, the world sees – can’t but see – that the only source of danger to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is Russia and no one else”, he said.

Zelensky spoke just as the Russians have accused Ukraine of cutting off power supply to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear power plant.
