BERLIN – The Carnival Jubilee cruise ship has left the Meyer shipyard where it was built in northern Germany, shipbuilders Meyer-Werft said on Saturday.

The 345-metre Carnival Jubilee ocean liner left the dock where it was constructed on Friday evening and is moored at the fitting-out pier in the shipyard harbour, the company said.

The cruise ship is expected to be delivered to the US shipping company Carnival Cruise Line at the end of the year.  Final details are to be completed before the vessel is transferred to the open seas via the Ems River.

At the end of 2023, the ship is scheduled to set off on its first cruise from Galveston in Texas. Earlier information released by the company said the Carnival Jubilee has room for 5,374 passengers.

The vessel is to be powered by liquefied natural gas. Further features include a roller coaster and an atrium extending over three decks with a large window front facing the sea.
