IKEJA, Lagos – Mr. Michael Adeniran, father of late Whitney, the 12-year-old student of Chrisland Student on Thursday appeared for questioning at an Ikeja High Court on the suspicious drug administered on her daughter before the school’s interhouse sport games.

Adeniran said he does not have knowledge of the application of drugs that were administered on her daughter on Jan.20 by their family doctor, prior to her death.

Animashaun asked if the defendant was aware that the combination of nitrazepam and amitriptyline which was given to the deceased on Jan 20 when she took ill was a semi disaster. Adeniran, however responded in the negative

“Your daughter complained of anxiety on Jan. 20 and your family doctor prescribed these two drugs for her.

“Do you know that the combination of the two drugs is a semi disaster?,” Animashaun asked

“Although i do not know what the two drugs were meant for, I disagree with you that the drugs prescribed by the family doctor are semi disaster.

“On January 20 when I picked her from school and she complained of anxiety to the Dr, she was given the drugs and her mother made sure she used it the right way,” Whitney’s father said.

The witness further told the court that he would not be surprised if the private pathologist hired by his family was a police pathologist.
