TEL AVIV – Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed worry over continued supply of weapons to Ukraine by the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, NATO, warning about the negative consequence of same weapons being used against members.

Netanyahu who spoke on TV said his fears have become a thing of reality, stressing that Western anti-tank weapons are now at the border of Israel.

“We are concerned that any [weapons] systems that we give to Ukraine could be used against us, as they could fall into Iranian hands and be used against us.

“By the way, this is not a theoretical possibility. This has actually already happened with Western anti-tank weapons, which we now find at our borders.”

He spoke to buttress the reason Israel is reluctant to supply weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, AFU.

In an earlier interview on an Italian daily, Netanyanhu said the Ukraine-Russia war will last “for a while” before the two sides decide to seek mediation, but reiterated his willingness to help stop the “carnage.”
