CALABAR, Cross River – Former Senate Leader and erstwhile Chairman Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, has sent his warmest greetings and felicitations to all Muslim faithful in the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir, a feast of sacrifice that calls for renewed commitment to the cause of humanity.

Ndoma-Egba, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), in a Sallah message, called for prayers for Nigeria to progress under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) and stressed the need for peaceful co-existence among Nigerians, while also hammering on the importance of making sacrifices for the benefit of all.

Dwelling on the significance of Eid-el-Kabir, the legal luminary and stalwart of All Progressives Congress (APC), enjoined Nigerians to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s exemplary life of sacrifice in their dealings with the weak, defenseless and helpless people in the society.

According to him, “It (Eid-el-Kabir) is a celebration of sacrifice. We should therefore see the celebration as a period of reflection and do all we can to imbibe the essence of sacrifice.

“The real essence of the occasion must not be lost as we celebrate the feast. We should follow the example of Prophet Ibrahim in our commitment to God by making sacrifices for the good of all, especially the most vulnerable among us.”
