Bode George speaks on offering to work with Tinubu

LAGOS – Former military administrator of Ondo State, Chief Olabode George has said he did not at any time offer himself to work under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as is being circulated in a section of the media.

Umar Sani, former Senior Special Adviser to Vice President Nnamadi Sambo who made the revelation said  he spoke to Olabode George couldn’t stop but rain insults on purveyors of such stories.

“I just spoke to Chief Olabode George whom I usually refer to as the Tsunami of lagos. I inquired from him the veracity of the news making the rounds that he had offered himself for service if his services are needed.

“He fumed and rained insults on the purveyors of what he termed fake news .He went down memory lane to recall his exploits as a military Gov and Chief of staff to Gen Oladipo Diya.

“He reiterated that his party is in court challenging Tinubu’s mandate how can he make such statement. He stressed that he is not job hunting and does not need any. He stated that at his age almost close to 80 years what does he need a job for.

“He promised to grant an interview to set the records straight. He told me that some elders came to him sometimes ago to appeal for ceasefire to which he acquiesced”, former Spokesman of the Presidential Council of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP said in a statement.

Bode George was military administrator of Ondo State from 1988 – 199o.
