As musician’s response scares intending brand

LAGOS, Nigeria – Facts have emerged about how Nigeria’s music sensation, David Adeleke better known as Davido lost N150 million endorsement deal.

The deal was made available by Billpoint.co, a subsidiary of the Blord Group, which is worth about $5million.

The group wanted to use the musician to market Billpoint.co App and offered N150 million, which is equivalent of $205,000 for the musician to act as ambassador for the brand, since the group feels Davido remains the best man for the job.

The Billpoint said, they were nonplused when response came from the management of the musician.

“Billpoint.co drafted the sum of N150 million naira which is the equivalent of of #205k to bring Davido as our brand ambassador as he is the best man for the job”, the group said on the social media, adding that we finally gave up following response from the Davido’s team.

“Who do you think we should sign to Billpoint family with $205k”.

Nevertheless, Davido’s team replied to their inquiry, stating that Davido’s endorsement fee is $5million for a full calendar year, adding that the deal is subject to review at the end of the endorsement period.

“Kindly let me know how you would like to proceed”, the musician’s team replied.
