The state party’s chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike gave the hint at a stakeholders meeting held in Awka, Anambra state capital on Saturday.

He said that the party cannot move forward without discipline, noting that the party would do everything possible to instill discipline among members irrespective of positions.

“It is a common knowledge that most of our stakeholders and members lack the required commitment and sincerity that is a characteristic of good party men and women. This adversely affected our party in no mean way, here in Anambra. Some of our leaders are culpable in this regard. These unfortunate actions of some of these leaders and stakeholders have entrenched party disloyalty and indiscipline in our chapter.

The bad example set by these disloyal leaders implicitly affect the psyche, actions and activities of most party  members, hence  entrenching anti party feelings and sentiment . This is the singular reason the party hasn’t made any substantial impact in the state” he said.

He also lamented that APC in the state  has never  been consulted in the appointment of party members and none party in the state by the federal government.

He said that most of those appointed by the federal government  had shown no commitment to the party growth and development in Anambra state. Ejidike said that this none consultation has grossly affected the discipline , loyalty of party leaders and stakeholders.

He also disclosed that the state party has set up finance committee to work out avenue for  funding the party in line with the constitution. According to him, those appointees never care about the funding of the part in the state

He regretted that  most of the people who had benefited from the federal government appointments in the state  are majorly none party faithful ,who have refused to identify with party in the state.

He called for reward system for those who committed much for the party development and growth in the state.

According to him, none   recognition of  true party faithful in appointment in the state has continued to  hinder inspirations and motivations among party members in the state.

“There is need to consider party loyalty , hard -work and merit as the basis for future appointment ‘ he said .
