LOKOJA, Kogi, Nigeria – Thugs allegedly recruited by the Kogi State Governor, Mr. Yahaya Bello have been arrested by the Kogi State Police command.

The thugs, dressed like soldiers were arrested by soldiers, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP House of Representative candidate in Kogi Central, Mr. Natasha Akpota-Uduaghan said on his social media handle.

According to her, the APC  thugs dressed in fake military uniforms were carrying guns when they were arrested by the soldiers.

“Governor Yahaya Bello’s APC thugs dressed up in fake military uniforms and carrying guns have been arrested soldiers in Kogi Central”, she said.

She also said that  about 30 thugs  were arrested .

Recall that Natasha Akpota-Uduaghan has raised alarm about Kogi, calling the Inspector General of Police, Alkali Usman Baba to reign in the Kogi State governor, who she said has recruited thugs to unleash mayhem on the citizens.

Just less than 24 hours to the election she equally called on the IGP  and other security agencies  call the governor, who has dug trenches across four major access roads  to order. She said some of the roads dug up were federal roads but that she had to deploy her construction materials to fill up to roads hence INEC officials were able to access the area.

The governor has said in a statement that the trenches across major road were dug for security reasons.
