LAGOS, Nigeria – Not less than four suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack on a Nollywood actor, Mr. Steve Eboh better known as Ajebo.
Ajebo is the SSA on Military and other Government Affairs to President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Mr. Emeka Rollas.
In a statement, Rollas said Ajebo was attacked by armed thugs precisely July 1, 2022, forcing the AGN to report the incident to the Inspector General of Police, who promised to investigate the matter.
“I am happy to announce to Actors Guild, our friends and our supporters that four among the culprits were arrested last night”, he said and thanked the Inspector General of Police for this response.
According to him, “this is a note of warning to all bullies who derive pleasure using Actors to catch cruise. Nollywood has done very well for Nigeria so Actors shouldn’t be objects of verbal or physical attacks”, he said, adding that no member of Actors Guild of Nigeria deserves to be victimised, assaulted or intimidated by anybody born by a woman. “Not under my watch”, he said.
