EBUTE-METTA, Lagos – At least 8 people have been confirmed dead and 23 others rescued from the collapsed 3 storey building at Ibadan Street,  Ebute Metta East, Lagos.

Among the eight people dead are five males and three females. Among the 23 rescued are 22 males and  one female.

As at the time of filling this information, rescue operation was still ongoing at  24 Ibadan Street, Off Muritala Mohammed Way, Ebute-Metta East.

According to Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, the building in question carved in at 10.56 pm.

He said that among those rescued, two sustained injuries and have been   taken to the Lagos State University Hospital, LASUTH for treatment.
