AWKA, Anambra – Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo on Friday shunned journalists in Anambra state as he meet with the All Progressives Congressive APC Stakeholders behind doors ahead of the party’s primaries.
The vice president had came to Anambra to seek support of the party members for the primaries. Osinbajo, who arrived the venue of the meeting, Finotel Hotel, Awka, at exactly 10:58am went into meeting with APC members behind closed door session.
Immediately, the vice president walked into the venue and journalists were ordered to leave the meeting Hall to enable them discuss. The meeting with vice president lasted for over two hours behind close doors and the outcome was not disclosed to the media.
Immediately, after meeting with Anambra state APC stakeholders, Osinbajo left without speaking to newsmen who had besieged the venue to hear from him.
The journalist who were at the venue left dejected when he walked away without a word. Some of the journalists who never wanted their names on prints said it was sad that the vice president was in the state without speaking to journalists.
According to them, the vice president’s refusal to speak to journalists might put many journalists on danger list in their organisations as most editors would not believe , he did not talk.
Earlier ,the Governor of the state Prof. Chukwuma Soludo was on the ground to receive the Vice President at the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri.
