ABUJA, Nigeria – The Federal Government has called on Nigerians to integrate their National Identity Number, NIN with their Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) following the expiration of the March 31 deadline.
Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami made the call in preparation for the enforcement of the presidential directive.
In a statement, the minister directed the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to offer enrollment services round-the-clock for the next few days.
Prof Pantami thanks all those who have completed their NIN-SIM linkage.
The minister, the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, and the Director-General/CEO of NIMC, Engr. Aliyu Aziz, urge citizens and legal residents to take advantage of the window to complete the process of enrollment and verification within the next few days.
