ONITSHA, Anambra, Nigeria – Coordinator of Anambra state National Youths Service Corps NYSC Mrs. Yetunde Baberinwa has assured of the security of corps members deployed to the state.
The State NYSC Coordinator, gave the safety assurance on Wednesday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Unity Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, in Awka South local government area, during the swearing-in ceremony of 2022 Batch A Stream2 corps members deployed to the state.
According to Baberinwa, the state orientation camp is save for corps members and staff and the scheme is passionate about it.
She said NYSC has good relation with the local community and the vigilantes and they are working day and night.
“We have good relation with the local vigilantes, the police and other security operatives. We have no issues with security at the camp. Honestly , we have enough security to protect the corps members. We also have regular security patrol in and outside the camp ” she said.
She also disclosed that every corps member deployed to the state was tested and confirmed COVID 19 negative before admitting.
