DOUALA, Cameroon – It was nothing but a repeated feat on Wednesday evening when Egypt once more demonstrated a familiar trend beating Ivory Coast 5-4 on penalty at the 50,000 capacity Stade Omnisport de Douala, Cameroon.
But it was a classic encounter that brought the best out of the two teams proceeding with a lot of trepidation but not none among the two succeeded in their game plan.
The encounter stretched into 120 minutes with the scores remaining Nil for both side and went into penalty shootout.
In terms of statistics, Ivory Coast had more shots on target, 8 against 7 and more corner kicks 9 against 7.
