LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 89 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 253, 001.
But out of the 253, 001 confirmed cases, 228, 708 patients have been treated and discharged, while 3, 135 patients could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 21, 164 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while one patient died in the last 24 hours.

Globally, there are 371,672, 768 all time cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 5, 655,084 patients have passed on, while 9, 940, 108, 382 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 74, 179, 201 total cases of Coronavirus, while 883, 669 patients have passed on(448, 357 new and 2714 deaths#), followed by India with 40, 858, 241 total cases of infections, while 493,198 patients could not make it alive(235, 532 new and 871 deaths#) and Brazil, with 25, 050, 601 all time infections, while 626, 170 lives have perished(260, 806 new and 780 deaths#).
France remains the 4th country most afflicted with 18, 928, 572 all time infections, while 131,449 patients could not make it alive(332, 415 new and 178 deaths#), followed by the United Kingdom with 16,519,648 all time cases and 156, 137 deaths(72, 896 new and 298 deaths#) and Turkey, which had reported 11,438,476 total cases, while 87, 045 lives have perished(94, 783 new and 174 deaths#).
Russia has been pushed down to the 7th country most hit, reporting 11, 427, 009 total infections, while 323, 452 patients are no more (112, 302 new and 656#), followed by Italy, which has documented 10, 821,375 all time cases, while 145, 914 patients are no more(137, 427 new and 377 deaths#) and Spain which has documented 9, 779, 130 all time infections, while 92, 966 patients have been killed by the pandemic.
Germany has been pushed down to the 10th places among country most hit by Coronavirus pandemic, reporting 9, 667, 632 all time infections, while 117, 673 patients are no more (151, 153 new and 113 deaths#) and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa.
South Africa has registered 3, 601, 630 all time cases, while 94, 905 patients are no more (3342 new and 121 deaths#).
