GAROUA, Cameroun – The Super Eagles today continued their campaign at the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON on a good note, beating  Sudan 3-1.

The Super Eagles dominated the day with  Samuel Chuwueze securing the first goal for the Super Eagles in the 3rd minutes.  Taiwo Awonniyi made it 2 in the 45th minutes, ending the first half 2-0.

The Super Eagles came in very determined in the second half with Moses Simon scoring Nigeria’s third goal just a minute into the second half in the 46th minutes.

Sudan pulled one back in the 70th minutes when Walieldin Khidir scored via a penalty kick awarded to Sudan. The Sudanese battled spiritedly to come back into the game, making incursions into the Nigerian  box 18 but it was to no avail.
