LAG0S, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 167 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, bringing all time cases to 214, 789.
But out of the 214, 789 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 207, 478 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 980 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 4331 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.
“NCDC: 167 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos -113, FCT -22, Plateau – 16, Kano -4, Abia -3, Kaduna -3, Rivers -3, Bauchi -2, Delta -1: 214, 789 confirmed; 207, 478 discharged; 2, 980 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 266,295,688 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic globally, 5, 260,627 patients have been killed by the pandemic, while 8, 207, 297, 840 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 49, 201,908 total cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 789, 071 patients have passed on(127, 461 new and 760 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 34,641, 561 all time cases, while 473, 537 patients are no more(8306 new and 211 deaths#) and Brazil, which has documented 22,143, 091 all time cases, while 615, 636 others are no more(4844 new and 66 deaths#).
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most afflicted with 10, 574, 182 all time cases and 146, 097 deaths(50, 931 new and 42 deaths#), followed by Russia which has reported 9, 661, 865 all time cases of the pandemic, while 276, 979 others could not make it alive(31, 569 new and 1155 deaths#) and Turkey, which has registered 8, 923, 120 total cases of the Coronavirus pandemic, while 78, 017 patients could not make it alive(20, 033 new and 187 deaths#) .
France is the 7th country most hit, now reporting 8, 021, 594 all time cases, while 120, 522 other patients have given up the ghost(42, 609 new and 32 deaths#), followed by Germany, which has registered 6, 219, 259 total cases of infections, while 103, 240 patients have passed on(39, 420 new and 191 deaths#) and Iran, which has registered 6, 137,821 all time infections and 130, 277 deaths(3356 new and 77 deaths#).
Argentina has come up as the 10th country most hit, reporting 5, 340, 676 total infections, while 116,646 patients have been killed by the pandemic(1294 new and 3 deaths#) and South Africa, the most afflicted African country.
South Africa is now reporting 3, 038, 075 total cases of infections, while 89,975 patients have passed on(17, 506 new and 10 deaths#).
