LAGOS – The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 54 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 214, 567.
But out of the 214, 567 confirmed cases, 207, 427 other patients have been treated and discharged, while, while 2, 980 other patients could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 4160 active cases.
“NCDC: 54 new cases of COVID19Nigeria; Lagos -25, Oyo -11, FCT -6, Kwara -3, Rivers -3, Bauchi -2, Delta -2, Kano -1, Ogun -1; 214, 567 confirmed; 207, 427 discharged; 2, 980 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
Globally, there are now 265, 273,604 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5,247, 794 patients are already dead, while 8, 147,533,181 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest Statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 49, 026, 566 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 787,932 patients have passed on(108, 344 new and 1034 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 34, 624, 360 all time cases, while 470, 530 patients are no more(8603 new and 415 deaths#) and Brazil, which has registered 22, 129, 409 confirmed cases of Coronavirus and 615,400 deaths( 10, 627 new and 221 deaths#)
The United Kingdom is the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 10,479, 858 all time cases, while 146,001 others could not make it alive(41, 799 new and 127 deaths#), followed by Russia, which has registered 9, 598,283 total cases of Coronavirus, while 274,648 patients could not make it alive(32, 374 new and 1185 deaths#) and Turkey, now with 8, 883, 730 confirmed cases, while 77,645 patients have passed on(41, 869 new and 415 deaths#).
France is the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 7, 927, 361 total cases, while 120, 440 lives have been claimed by Coronavirus, followed by Iran, which has reported 6, 131, 356 total cases of infections, while 130, 124 patients could not make it alive(2157 new and 58 deaths#) and Argentina, which has reported 5, 337, 692 total cases of Coronavirus, while 116,639 lives have been wasted(2382 new and 22 deaths#).
Spain is the 10th country most afflicted, now reporting 5, 202, 958 all time cases of Coronavirus and 88, 159 deaths and South Africa, still the most afflicted country in Africa, now reporting 3,004,2003 confirmed cases of and 89,944 deaths.
