IKEJA, Lagos – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 30 new cases of COVID-19, making a total of 213, 177 all time cases in the country.
But out of the 213, 177 total cases, 205, 770 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 968 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 4439 active cases of COVID-19.
“NCDC: 30 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria: Abia- 9, Bauchi – 7, Kaduna – 4, Kano -4, Cross River – 2, Rivers -2, Bayelsa-1, Jigawa – 1; 213, 177 confirmed; 205, 770 discharged; 2, 968 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 253, 882,518 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 107,258 patients are already dead, while 7,520, 144,696 doses of COVID19 vaccine have been administered based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 47,221, 647 all time cases, while 764,365 patients have kicked the bucket(156, 746 new and 1308 deaths#), followed by India with 34,456,401 all time cases and 463,852 deaths(19, 094 new and 322 deaths#) and Brazil, which has documented 21, 960,766 total cases, while 611, 346 others could not make it alive(6928 new and 124 deaths#).
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit by COVID19, reporting 9, 649,233 all time infections, while 143, 384 others have passed on(40, 740 new and 47 deaths#), followed by Russia with 8, 956,136 all time case and 251, 796 deaths(37, 210 new and 1187 deaths#) and Turkey, now reporting 8, 433, 988 all time cases while 73,746 patients have been killed by COVID19(23, 852 new and 215 deaths#).
France continues as the 7th country most hit by Coronavirus, reporting 7, 393,296 all time cases, while 119, 177 patients are now dead(3307 new and 75 deaths#) , followed by Iran with 6, 045,212 total infections, while 128, 272 patients could not survive the pandemic(7494 new and 105 deaths#) and Argentina with 5, 307,159 total cases and 116, 250 deaths(2008 new and 22 deaths#).
Spain is still the 10th country most hit globally by COVID19. Till date, there are now 5, 056, 954 all time cases, while 87, 716 patients could not make it alive(9798 new and 43 deaths#). South Africa is the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has confirmed 2,926,075 total cases of COVID19 and 89, 489 deaths(398 new cases).
