LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has reported 51 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 213, 127.

But out of the 213, 127 confirmed cases, 205, 491 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 960 others could not make it alive,  leaving Nigeria with 4676 active cases of Coronavirus, while 11 patients died in the last 24 hours.

“NCDC: 51 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Katsina -34,  Lagos -11, Kano -3,  Cross River -2, Bauchi -1;  213, 127 confirmed ;205, 491 discharged; 2, 960 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now 253,037,170 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic globally, 5,097,552 patients are no more alive, while 7,444,361,287 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States  remains the most afflicted country globally, now reporting 47,051,430  all time cases, while 762,972 patients have passed on(120, 375 new and 2002 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 34, 437,307 all time cases, while 463, 530 lives have perished(23, 121 new and 840deaths#)and Brazil, which has reported 21,953, 838 all time cases, while 611, 222 patients have died(29, 240 new and 998 deaths#).

The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 9, 572, 355 all time cases, while 143,274 patients could not make it alive(38, 049 new and 158 deaths#), followed by Russia, which has registered 8, 918, 926 all time cases, while 250,609 others have passed on(75, 688 new and 2406 deaths#) and Turkey, which has documented 8, 388, 512  all time cases, while 73,342  patients are now dead(46, 220 new and 432 deaths#).

France has reported 7, 377, 493 all time cases, while 119,085 patients could not make it alive(14, 686 new 16 deaths#), followed by  Iran, now reporting 6, 031, 575 all time cases, while 128, 042 others have perished (4306 new and 124 deaths#)and Argentina, which has documented  5, 305, 151  all time cases, while 116, 228 patients are now dead(2706 new and  19 deaths#).

Spain remains the 10th country host hit, reporting 5, 047, 156 all time cases, while 87, 673 patients could not survive the pandemic and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has reported 2, 925,677 all time cases and 89,746 deaths(699 new and 294 deaths#).
