LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 64 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing the total number in the country to 212, 829.
But out of the 212, 829 cases, 204, 335 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 914 others could not make it alive, while 8 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 250, 707, 063 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 061,810 patients are no more, while 7, 308, 859, 304 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 46, 661,243 all time cases, while 756,574 lives have perished(86, 829 new and 1412 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 34, 377,113 all time cases, while 461, 389 others could not make it alive(10, 126 new and 332 deaths#) and Brazil, which has reported 21, 886, 077 all time infections, while 609, 573 patients could not make it alive(5638 new and 126 deaths#).
The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 9, 412, 092 total cases of infections, while 142, 556 patients are now dead(33, 051 new and 263 deaths#), followed by Russia which has reported 8,727,817 confirmations and 244, 588 deaths(37, 999 new and 1183 deaths#) and Turkey which has registered 8, 261, 473 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, while 72, 314 lives have perished.
France has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 7, 334, 332 all time cases, while 118, 970 patients have perished(12, 565 new and 46 deaths#), followed by Iran, now reporting 6,004, 460 all time infections, while 127, 551 others could not make it alive(8305 new and 112 deaths#), and Argentina, which has reported 5, 298, 069 all time infections, while 116, 143 lives are no more(1288 new and 39 deaths#).
Spain is the 10th country most afflicted with 5, 032,056 total infections and 87, 558 deaths and South Africa, the most afflicted African country, now reporting 2, 924,317 total cases, while 89, 387 patients have perished(245 new and 35 deaths#).
