LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 61 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 213, 464.
But out of the 213, 464 all time cases, 206, 292 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 973 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 4199 active cases of Coronavirus.
“NCDC: 61 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Gombe- 16, Taraba – 15, Zamfara -14, FCT -7, Kano – 2, Lagos -2, Rivers – 2, Bauchi -1, Delta – 1, Katsina -1; 213, 464 confirmed; 206, 292 discharged; 2, 973 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 256,474,049 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 137, 828 patients are already dead, while 7,616, 499, 951 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 47,582, 349 all time cases, while 769, 484 patients are already dead(77, 748 new and 1055 deaths#), followed by India, which has reported 34, 489, 623 all time infections, while 465,082 patients are no more(11, 106 new and 459 deaths#) and Brazil, which has documented 21,989, 962 total infections, while 612, 144 patients are no more(12,301 new and 293 deaths#).
The United Kingdom, remains the 4th country most afflicted with 9,817, 228 all time cases, while 144,148 patients are no more(44, 741 new and 149 deaths#), followed by Russia, which has reported 9,099,253 all time infections, while 256,669 patients could not make it alive(35, 935 new and 1221 deaths#) and Turkey, now reporting 8, 505,190 all time cases, while 74, 428 patients have been killed by the pandemic.
France remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 7, 475, 211 total cases of infections, while 119,383 patients have passed on(21, 270 new and 50 deaths#) , followed Iran which has documented 6,069, 559 confirmed cases, while 128,734 other patients could not make it alive and Argentina(5784 new and 100 deaths#), which has reported 5, 312, 089 all time cases, while 116,341 patients have passed on(1755 new and 28 deaths#).
Spain remains the 10th country most afflicted with 5, 079,823 all time cases, while 87,819 patients have died from the pandemic(5796 new and 15 deaths#) and South Africa with 2, 928,288 all time infections, while 89,562 patients have died from the pandemic(1374 new and 47 deaths#).
