LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Decease Control, NCDC has confirmed 213, 982 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 213, 982.
But out of the 213, 982 confirmed cases, 207, 184 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 975 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3823 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.
“NCDC: 58 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Imo – 27, Lagos – 9, Rivers – 9, Katsina – 3, Bayelsa -2, FCT – 2, Kano -2, Niger -2, Bauchi – 1, Plateau -1; 213, 982 confirmed; 207, 184 discharged; 2, 975 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 260, 947, 673 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 5, 193, 495 patients have passed on while 7, 580, 499, 561 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 48, 188,691 all time cases, while 776, 396 patients are no more(26, 399 new and 123 deaths#), followed by India, which has reported 34, 563,749 total cases, while 467, 933 others could not make it alive(8318 new and 465 deaths#) and Brazil, which has documented 22, 067, 630 total cases of Coronavirus pandemic and 613, 957 deaths(12, 392 new and 315 deaths#).
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 10, 165, 687 total cases of infections, while 145, 167 patients have passed on,(40, 050 new and 131 deaths#) followed by Russia, which has documented 9, 370, 694 all time cases, while 266,337 patients are no more alive(33, 119 new and 1203 deaths#)and Turkey, which has registered 8, 702, 611 all time infections, while 76, 041 others could not make it alive.
France has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 7, 654, 160 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic and 119, 818 deaths(32 new) , followed by Iran, which has reported 6, 105, 101 all time cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 129, 549 other patients could not make it alive(3045 new and 87 deaths#) and Argentina, which has reported 5, 324, 039 all time cases, while 116, 505 patients have given up the ghost(1912 new and 25 deaths#).
Spain is the 10th country most afflicted globally with 5, 131,012 all time cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 87, 955 others could not make it alive and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has documented 2, 958,548 total infections, while 89, 791 other patients have passed on(6048 new and 20 deaths#).
