Coronavirus claims 1146 lives in Russia 1 in Nigeria

LAGOS- The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 86 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 212,713.

But out of the 212, 713 all time cases, 204,379 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,906 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 5428 active cases, while one patient died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 249, 825,817 total cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide,5, 048,370 lives are no more, while 7,245,677,528 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 46, 482, 837 all time cases, while 754, 391 lives have perished(25, 055 new 176 deaths#), followed by India with 34, 355, 509 all time cases, while 460, 791 patients have perished(10, 826 new and 526 deaths#) and Brazil with 21, 874, 324 confirmed cases, while 609, 388 patients have been killed by the pandemic(11, 866 new and 328 deaths#).

The United Kingdom remains the 4^th country most hit by the pandemic, reporting 9, 346, 958 all time cases, while 142, 236 lives have been wasted(29, 973 new and 62deaths#), followed by Russia which has documented 8, 651, 561 all time cases, while 242, 241 others are no more(38, 028 new and 1146 deaths#) and Turkey, now reporting 8, 233, 649 all time cases, while 72, 121 others could not make it alive(27, 304 new and 195 deaths#).

France has come up as the 7^th country most hit, reporting 7, 319, 526 all time infections and 118, 866 deaths (8559 new and 11 deaths#), followed by Iran, which has reported 5, 987,814 all time infections while 127, 299 lives could not make it alive(7554 new 126 deaths#)and and Argentina which has registered 5, 296, 188 total cases, while 116, 091 others could not make it alive(928 new and 8 deaths#).

Spain remains the 10^th country most hit with 5, 025,639 all time cases, while 87, 504 patients have passed on and South Africa which has documented 2, 923,956 all time cases, while 89,332 patients have perished as a result of the pandemic(563 new and 37 deaths#).
