LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 99 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 212, 150.
But out of the 212, 150 all time cases, 203, 524 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,899 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 5727 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while one patient died in the last 24 hours.
“NCDC: 99 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Bauchi – 24, Plateau – 24, FCT -22, Lagos -9, Taraba -8, Kaduna -4, Edo -3, Kano -3, Bayelsa -1, Rivers -1: 212, 150 confirmed; 203, 524 discharged; 2,899 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 247, 719, 391 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 016, 369 patients have been killed by the virus, while 7, 124, 622, 746 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 46, 172, 312 all time cases, while 748, 630 patients are no more(80, 388 new and 1597 deaths#), followed by India, which has reported 34, 308, 140 total infections and 459, 191 deaths(22, 326 new and 734 deaths#) and Brazil, now reporting 21, 821, 124 confirmed cases while 608, 071 patients have kicked the bucket(6431 new and 149 deaths#).
The United Kingdom is still the 4th country most hit, with 9, 174, 153 total cases, while 141, 390 patients are no more(33, 712 new and 292 deaths#), followed by Russia, with 8, 494, 589 total cases and 237, 619 deaths(77, 284 new and 2301 deaths#) and Turkey, which has documented 8, 091, 432 total cases, while 71, 052 patients could not make it alive(29, 796 new and 222 deaths#).
France has come up as the 7th country worst hit, reporting 7, 272, 593 all time cases, while 118, 720 patients have perished(2183 new and 88 deaths#) , followed by Iran, now reporting 5, 944, 599 all time cases, while 126, 616 patients could not make it alive(10, 104 new and 160 deaths#) and Argentina, which has reported 5, 291, 285 confirmed cases, while 116, 010 patients have lost their lives as a result of the virus(1340 new and 21 deaths#) .
Spain remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 5, 016, 968 cases and 87, 423 deaths (5820 new and 55#) and South Africa, which has reported 2, 922, 391 total cases and 89, 197 deaths(169 new and 18 deaths#).
