LAGOS, Nigeria – Winner of Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye, Mr. Hazel Oyeze Onou better known as Whitemoney has been presented with his cheque of N30 million at a grand ceremony in Lagos.
During the presentation, Whitemoney also received keys to his AVM 40 Innoson SUV and keys to his two bedroom flat from Revolution Plus.
All other housemates were also present during the presentation. Asked about his greatest rival in the house, he mentioned Liquorose and not Pere as many would have expected.
During the occasion, some among 30 loyal fans of Whitemoney were also presented with one million naira each. Thirty followers of the programme who accurately predicted Whitemoney as winner are expected to get one million Naira each as announced.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief Executive of Multichoice, Mr. John Ugbe said the organizers decided to switch from SMS voting to the DSTV or Gotv applications to make it possible for more people to cast their votes.
He said the in the past it was possible for individuals to just compute 1.5 million voters and multiply it by the cost of SIMS to arrive at whatever figures, adding that Big Brother Naija is not about profit making but that the organizers spent N4.5 billion putting the show together.
