LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 247 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 209, 960.
But out of the 209, 960 confirmed cases, 198, 026 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 850 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9084 active cases, while 10 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 242, 388, 958 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4,927, 692 patients are no more, while 6,732, 132,737 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 45, 273, 200 confirmed cases, while 732, 735 patients have passed on,(63, 648 new and 1608 deaths#) followed by India with 34, 127, 450 all time cases, while 452,811 patients have been consumed by the virus(18, 454 new and 160 deaths#) and Brazil, which has documented 21, 680, 488 all time cases, while 604,228 other patients could not make it alive.
The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 8, 681, 581 confirmations and 139, 561 deaths(51, 725 new and 117 deaths#), followed by Russia which has reported 8,005, 376 all time cases, while 223,331 lives have been consumed by Coronavirus(35, 416 new and 1011 deaths#) and Turkey with 7, 772, 574 all time cases, while 68, 472 patients could not make it alive(28, 254 new and 198 deaths#).
France remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 7, 209, 126 all time infections, while 118, 339 patients have died from the pandemic(6286 new and 39 deaths#), followed by Iran with 5, 833, 525 all time cases, while 124,763 lives are no more(11, 788 new and 178 deaths#) and Argentina, which has reported 5, 275,984 all time infections, while 115, 770 patients have perished(1218 new and 33 deaths#).
Spain has come up as the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 995, 176 all time cases and 87, 102 casualties(1881 new and 20 deaths#) and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has documented 2, 918, 366 confirmations and 88, 835 deaths(520 new and 81 deaths#).
