LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 89 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 209, 387.
But out of the 209, 387 confirmed cases, 197, 312 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 838 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8237 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 1 patient died in the last 24 hours.
“NCDC: 89 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria: Kaduna – 34, Abia – 22, Delta- 11, Kano – 8, Rivers – 8, Bauchi – 4, Jigawa – 1, Zamfara -1; 209, 387 confirmed; 197, 312 discharged; 2, 838 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 241,069,981 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 904, 372 patients are now dead, while 6,652, 772, 682 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 45, 041, 011 confirmed cases, while 726, 097 patients have perished(107, 602 new and 1780 deaths#), followed by India, which had registered 34,081, 315 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, while 452, 290 patients are no longer alive and Brazil, which has reported 21,644,464 all time cases while 603, 282 patients could not make it alive.
The United Kingdom has documented 8, 537, 463 all time infections and 139, 042 deaths(48, 778 new and 45 deaths#), followed by Russia with 7, 903, 963 confirmed cases, while 220, 323 lives have perished as a result of the virus(33, 434 new and 981 deaths#) and Turkey, reporting 7, 683, 487 all time infections, while 67, 837 patients have died from the virus(53, 354 new and 400 deaths#).
France remains the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 7 , 190, 716 all time cases, while 118, 230 lives are no more(1150 new and 47 deaths#), followed by Iran with 5, 796, 659 all time cases, while 124, 256 patients could not make it alive(11, 844 new and 181 deaths#) and Argentina, now reporting 5, 272, 551 documented cases, while 115, 666 patients are no more alive.
Spain has come up as the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 988, 878 all time infections, while 87,030 lives are no more(4492 new and 56 deaths#) and South Africa, with 2, 916, 803 all time cases, while 88, 619 patients have kicked the bucket(210 new and 7deaths#).
