KADUNA, Nigeria – Bandits terrorizing Kaduna State have released 31 students of Bethel Baptist High School, Damishi, Kaduna that were kidnapped some months back.
Speaking to journalists in Kaduna, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Rev. Joseph Hayab said the 31 students were released on Saturday evening.
He said the students have been reunited with their parents but that ransom was paid by parents to secure the release of the students.
He did not disclose the amount paid to secure the release of the students. The criminals still have 21 students in custody.
A total of 121 students were kidnapped in July when the armed criminals invaded the school.
