LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has announced 547 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 198, 786. But out of the 198, 786 all time cases, 185, 075 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 590 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 11, 121 active cases of Coronavirus, while 2 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 224, 184, 120 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 4, 622, 618 patients are already dead, while 5,650, 699,010 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 40, 916, 469 confirmed cases, while 659, 635 patients have passed on(168, 350 new and 3223 deaths*), followed by India, which has registered 33, 208, 330 confirmations, while 442,317 patients have been killed by the pandemic (33, 374 new and 308 deaths*)and Brazil which has reported 20, 974, 850 all time cases, while 585, 846 patients are now dead(15, 951 new and 672 deaths*).
The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 7, 231, 093 all time cases, while 134, 469 patients have kicked the bucket(29, 123 new and 156 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented 7, 019, 200 all time infections and 188, 546 deaths(13, 564 new and 778 deaths*) and France with 6, 982, 683 all time cases, while 116, 095 patients are no more alive(9749 new and 46 deaths*).
Turkey is the 7th country most hit, reporting 6, 613, 946 all time cases, while 59, 384 patients have kicked the bucket(23, 562 new and 214 deaths*), followed by Iran, which has reported 5, 275, 567 all time infections, while 113,824 patients are no more(16, 654 new and 444 deaths*) and Argentina which has reported 5, 221, 809 all time cases and 113, 282 deaths.
Colombia has been pushed down to the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 926, 772 all time cases, while 125,529 patients could not make it alive and South Africa which is the most afflicted country in Africa with 2, 854, 234 all time cases, while 84, 751 patients are already dead as a result of the pandemic(5309 new and 143 deaths*).
