LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 519 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 200, 057. But out of the 200, 057 confirmed cases, 188, 719 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 637 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8701  active cases while 18 patients have been killed.

“NCDC: 519 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria;  Lagos – 120,  Ondo – 110, Rivers – 74,  Edo – 63,  FCT – 58,  Oyo – 31, Kaduna – 15,  Bayelsa – 11,  Cross River – 11, Delta – 11,  Kano – 5,  Ogun -4, Plateau – 3, Adamawa -2, Gombe – 1; 200, 057 confirmed; 188, 719 discharged; 2, 637 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are  now 225,725, 790 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide,  4, 647, 639 patients are dead already, while  5,745, 269,267 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 41, 351,744 all time cases, while 663, 884 patients are no more (181,577 new and  2, 520 deaths*), followed by India which has registered 33,289, 579 confirmed cases, while 443, 213 lives have been wasted by the virus(25, 404 new and 339 deaths*) and Brazil with 21,019,830 all time cases and 587, 797  deaths(20, 051 new and 946 deaths*).

The United Kingdom remains  the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 7, 316, 466  confirmed cases, while 134, 772 lives have been wasted(26, 426 new and  186 deaths*) while Russia has reported 7, 072, 825  all time cases and 190, 793  deaths(17, 529 new and 762 deaths*) and France  with 7, 007, 374  all time cases, while 116, 454  patients are no more(14, 394 new and 233 deaths*).

Turkey continues as the 7th country worst hit, reporting  6, 710, 636 all time infections, while 60, 393  patients have passed on(27, 802 new and 276 deaths*), followed by  Iran with 5, 340, 656  all time cases and  115, 167 deaths(22, 329 new and  408 deaths*) and Argentina with 5, 229, 848 all time cases, while 113,816 patients are no more(5314 new and 414 deaths*)

Colombia remains the 10th country most hit, reporting  4, 932, 998 all time confirmed cases, while 125, 713 patients have kicked the bucket(2749 new and 66 deaths*) and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa, reporting 2, 864, 534 all time cases, while 85, 302 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(3699 new and 300 deaths*).
