LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 444 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 194, 088. But out of the 194, 088 confirmed cases, 179, 679 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 495 patients could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 11, 914 active cases, while 7 patients have died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 219, 591,698 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 4,549, 583 patients have passed on while 5,401, 310, 499 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 39, 707, 988 confirmed cases, while 645, 143 lives have been wasted, (175, 444 new and 1585 deaths*) followed by India which has documented 32, 903, 289 all time cases, while 439, 895 patients have perished(45, 352 new and 366 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 20, 856, 060 all time cases and 582, 670 deaths(51, 845 new and 1520 deaths*).
The United Kingdom has maintained the 4th place, reporting 6, 936, 986 all time cases, while 133, 365 patients have passed on(42, 160 new and 121 deaths*), followed by France which has registered 6,897, 529 all time cases, while 115, 252 patients are no more(13, 466 new ) and Russia with 6, 875,713 all time infections, while 182, 341 patients are no more alive(18, 470 new and 781 deaths*).
Turkey remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 6, 412, 247 registered cases, while 57, 000 patients have died from the virus, followed by Argentina which has registered 5, 195, 601 confirmations and 112, 195 deaths and Colombia which has documented 4, 914, 881 confirmed cases and 125, 158 deaths(1850 new and 61 deaths*).
Spain has come up as the 10th country most hit by the virus, reporting 4, 877, 755 all time cases, while 84, 795 patients have passed(6311 new and 155 deaths*) and South Africa, which is now reporting 2, 805, 604 all time infections, while 83, 161 patients have passed on(9199 new and 247 deaths*).
