LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 964 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 195, 052. But out of the 195, 052 confirmed cases, 182, 463 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 544 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 10, 045 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 49 patients died in the last 24 hours.
“NCDC: 964 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 456, Ondo – 180, Edo – 66, Rivers – 62, Niger – 26, Akwa Ibom – 25, Ekiti – 22, Kwara – 22, Oyo – 22, Kaduna – 17, Delta – 14, Benue – 12, Gombe – 9, Plateau – 9, FCT- 8, Jigawa – 5, Ogun – 4, Bayelsa – 2, Nasarawa – 2, Bauchi – 1: 195, 052 confirmed; 182, 463 discharged; 2, 544 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 220, 161, 206 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 4, 558, 862 patients have passed on while 5,426, 847, 146 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the Centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 39, 903, 790 all time cases, while 648, 073 patients are no more alive(195, 802 new and 2, 930 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 32,945, 907 all time cases and 440, 225 deaths(42, 618 new and 330 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 20, 856, 060 all time cases, while 582, 670 patients are no more.
The United Kingdom has remained the 4th country most affected, reporting 6, 973, 975 all time infections, while 133,485 patients have passed on(36, 989 new and 120 deaths*) , followed by France which is now reporting 6, 910, 865 all time cases while 115,352 patients are no more(13, 336 new and 100 deaths*), and Russia which has reported 6, 894, 113 all time cases and 183, 117 deaths(18, 400 new and 776 deaths*).
Turkey has remained the 7th country most afflicted by the pandemic, now reporting 6, 412, 247 all time infections, while 57, 000 patients are no more, followed by Argentina which has documented 5, 199, 919 all time cases, while 112, 356 patients have died (4318 new and 161 deaths*) and Colombia which has reported 4, 916, 980 all time cases and 125, 230 deaths(2099 new and 72 deaths*).
Spain remains the 10th country most hit by the virus, reporting 4, 877, 755 confirmations and 84, 795 deaths and South Africa which has reported 2, 814, 014 total cases, while 83, 343 patients have been killed by the pandemic (8410 new and 182 deaths*).
