LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 299 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 200, 356. But out of the 200, 356 confirmed cases, 188, 917 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 640 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8799 active cases, while 3 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 226, 258, 411 confirmed cases worldwide, 4, 656,615 deaths, while 5, 774, 298, 885 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the Centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, reporting 41, 511, 254 all time cases, 666, 300 people have been killed by the pandemic(159, 510 new and 2416 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 33,316, 755 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 443,497 patients have kicked the bucket(27, 176 new and 284 deaths*), and Brazil which has reported 21, 019, 830 all time cases, while 587, 797 patients are no more.
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 7, 346, 826 all time cases, while 134, 975 patients are no more(30, 360 new and 203 deaths*), followed by Russia with 7, 091, 368 confirmed cases, while 191, 566 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(18, 543 new and 773 deaths*) and France with 7,007, 819 all time cases, while 116,468 patients have been killed by the pandemic(445 new and 14 deaths*).
Turkey is the 7th country most hit, reporting 6, 738, 860 all time infections and 60, 641 deaths(28, 224 new and 248 deaths*), followed by Iran with 5, 360, 387 all time infections and 115,619 deaths(19, 731 new and 452 deaths*) and Argentina which has documented 5, 229, 848 all time cases and 113,816 deaths.
Colombia remains the 10th country most hit with 4, 932, 998 confirmed cases, while 125,713 patients have passed on and South Africa with 2, 869, 201 confirmations and 85, 468 deaths(5464 new and 166 deaths*).
