LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 618 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 190, 333. But out of the 190, 333 confirmed cases, 169, 815 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 308 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 18, 210 active cases, while 10 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 215,117, 765 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 481, 057 patients have passed on while 5, 121, 748, 106 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted, reporting 38, 511, 045 confirmed cases, while 634, 520 lives have been wasted by the virus(150, 172 new and 1118 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 32, 603, 188 all time cases, while 436,861 patients have died( 44, 658 new and 496 deaths*) and Brazil, with 20, 676, 561 all time cases, while 577, 565 patients are no more(31, 024 new and 920 deaths*).
France remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 6, 778, 133 confirmations and 114, 276 deaths (667 new and 25 deaths*), followed Russia which has documented 6, 747, 681 all time infections, while 176,904 patients are no more(18, 982 new and 777 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has reported 6, 697, 661 all time cases, while 132, 566 patients have died(37, 873 new and 103 deaths*).
Turkey is the 7th country most hit, reporting 6, 311, 607 confirmed cases and 55, 713 deaths(18, 340 new and 244 deaths*), followed by Argentina with 5, 161, 926 all time cases, while 111, 117 patients are no more alive(6847 new and 151 deaths*) and Colombia with 4, 899, 085 confirmations and 124, 567 deaths(1935 new and 93 deaths*).
Spain remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 831, 809 all time infections, while 84,000 patients have kicked the bucket(9489 new and 139 deaths*) and South Africa with 2, 747, 018 all time infections, while 81, 187 patients have passed on(12, 045 new and 361 deaths*).
