LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 362 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 191, 345. But out of the 191, 345 confirmed cases, 178, 283 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 454 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 10, 608 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 93 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 216, 328, 547  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 449, 828   patients have passed on while 5, 190, 388, 240  doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted, reporting 38, 792,444 confirmed cases, while 637, 511 patients have been killed by the pandemic(42, 938 new and 337 deaths*) followed by India, which has reported 32,695, 030  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 437, 830 patients have been killed by the pandemic(45, 083 new and 460 deaths*) and Brazil  now reporting 20, 741, 815  all time infections and 579, 308 deaths(37, 909 new and 982 deaths*).

France remains the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 6, 827, 146 all time infections, while 114,506 patients are no more alive(13, 630 new and 53 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented 6, 785, 465  all time infections, while 178, 457 patients have kicked the bucket(18, 798 new and 778 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has reported 6, 762, 904  all time cases, while  132,760 lives have been wasted by the virus(33, 005 new and 69 deaths*).

Turkey  is the 7th most afflicted country, reporting 6, 329, 519  all time cases, while 55,958 patients have died(17, 912 new and 245 deaths*), followed by Argentina which has reported 5, 171, 458  confirmed cases and 111,324 deaths(3725 new and  54 deaths*) and Colombia which has documented 4,903, 304  all time cases, while 124, 743  patients have been swept away by the pandemic(2141 new and 580 deaths*).

Spain remains the 10th country worst hit, reporting 4, 831, 809 all time cases, while 84,000 lives have been wasted and South Africa, the most affected country in Africa. South Africa has reported 2, 764, 931  all time cases, while 81, 595  patients have died from the virus(7740 new and 134 deaths*).
